Weekend Update

This weekend was fun, despite my crabby mood throughout.

Friday began with a wonderful round of bowling. My friend did better than I did, scoring over 150 points in one game and getting four strikes and a few spares.

Saturday, I saw The Day After Tomorrow, an interesting look at the end of the world via global warming. The movie was cool. Is the just me or does the guy who plays the Veep look and act like a certain Veep? After seeing the movie, I feel if this movie doesn't spur you into action, nothing ever will.

Sunday was a day of rest, as it should be.

Bowling

Today and Friday I have been bowling. I haven't bowled in four years, but to my surprise my score has remained constant at 80-110 points. It's so fun -- have I missed my calling?

Yum Yum

Today I had a packet of Kraft Easy Mac microwavable mac and cheese. It really is very good and easy to make. I want to give the person who thought this up a hug...

Public Radio or Publick Cult?

Since the radio in this part of the world stinks, I generally listen to news broadcasts and other cool stuff. Very, very, good. This week has been less than stellar. This week, my station has been raising tons of money to keep the mothership running. I have no problem with this. However, I'm starting to feel that their tactics are borderline cultic. That is, "This station is so expensive, we have to pay!" Or, "Do you love this? Please donate!" Do you see the point here? It's almost like the minions who donate are brainwashed into forking over the money and pressuring people to donate. To me that sounds like a cult. At least, they aren't promising eternal damnation if don't donate...yet.

The end of Friends

Tonight was the end of Friends. It was pretty good, but if you had watched the last few episodes, you sorta would have gotten the gist of tonight's show. After the ending, I felt like a ton of bricks fell on me. I won't have no fear. Friends will likely be on for the next 50 years!

Circus Peanuts, overpriced movies, and Security Updates, Oh my!

My weekend was interesting.

For the first time, I got to try Circus Peanuts. I find they were nifty and very good! I guess the good things are most overlooked.

I also saw the film Johnson Family Vacation. The movie was a drop-dead, laugh-out-loud comedy! It was a great way to waste an hour enjoying a good movie. However - I beg to ask - why do movie admissions have to be really expensive?

Today, Apple released a big security patch for OS X. Install went off without a hitch. In contrast to Windows, OS X asks for your password to install software. My friends, this is real security. Gotta love it.
