The "Path" to boredom

Last week, the ABC show The Path to 9/11 was a big deal. Before it aired, former Clinton officials criticized it. After watching the film, I can see why they are upset. This movie made Clinton and anyone associated him with look bad, really bad. In comparison, Bush and his people come off as indifferent. Besides that, I found the movie tedious and boring to the extreme. If this film was a docu-drama, why use fiction? There are plenty of TRUE sources out there. Some of Clinton's people have written their books, boatloads of documents are still there, and then there's this gem. With people such as former US ambassador to Yemen Barbara Bodine (who is depicted in the movie) coming out and saying this flick's crap, how couldn't ABC done their research for this flick to the max? I guess that if you are making a biased docu-drama, true research doesn't matter.

Mark Twain once called the Book of Mormon "chloroform in print". The Path to 9/11 could be easily described as chloroform on film.

For that, it's fitting.

A street for Slobo?

It appears that our friends in Serbia (née Serbia and Montenegro/Yugoslavia) are deciding whether to name a street after Slobodan Milošević. For those you whose history is lax, Milošević was the person who basically instigated wars for Serb control in Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo in the 90's along with a dash of ethnic cleansing along the way. With a record this sick, why would anyone in their right mind want to name a street after this cruel shell of a man? To me, this is one more road block in the way of Serbia's redemption for it's sins during the 90's.

In saying that, it's not my problem.
