Sell Yourself...Just Cash in! - Part 2

Back in March, I wrote about a British college student who sold her virginity over the net. Now months later, we have a progress report on how life has been since The Deed. Reading the article, it appears that the lady had some fun with the cash by paying off her college debts and buying a few clothes. However, the fun has it's drawbacks. According to the article, her action has disappointed her partner and her folks. It also appears that she used the sale to see what it was like to do The Deed with a man (the article mentions that she was a lesbian). So, it appears that everyone got something out of the whole experience.

I still think this was a bad idea.

2 Legit 2... Preach?

A week or two ago, I was looking for something to watch. On a lark, I ended up on TBN. As I was watching TBN, I saw MC Hammer on there. Instead of the flashy dance moves and glitz, Hammer is now a sober and serious preacher. This sermon I saw had Hammer wrapped in the flag with bits of [right-wing] politics thrown in. Sadly, this doesn't surprise me.

In the end it was interesting.

I guess [insert deity here] can work in different ways.

Stopped at the Gates

This week has been an interesting week in Mozilla land.

Thursday saw a security hole involving the way Mozilla handles protocols on Windows. Contrary to some sensational stories, this hole was fixed in less than two days.

This why I have used Mozilla for four years. They know that security goes hand in hand with quality. Why can't other companies be like that?

We Need A Holiday

The Fourth of July has come and gone.

The holiday was a time to get away from Cherry Point and boxes. I mainly spent the holiday sleeping, reading, and watching TV. I watched the movie Coyote Ugly. It was OK. However, the plot was predictable. In other words, it was a good "chick flick". Me and the extended family experienced the proverbial fireworks and dinner. I also went to church for the first time in six months. It was pretty good service. The people in the pews and the pastor were so friendly and loving. Now it's back to boxes and Cherry Point.

Such is life.
